HOW IT WORKS
Mint for about a dollar (0.00035 ETH — roughly 3 days of rent). Every cent of the mint goes to the banker pool. Mortgage payments split 70% to the pool, 30% to the artist. The claim is open for 24 hours, then closes forever. Cap 100 per wallet.
Your critter is born hungry with a 3-day head start. During those 3 days you can pay its mortgage at any time, in any market — prepay up to 365 days.
After the grace: the kitchen only opens on green days. Once a day, the first transaction stamps the Chainlink ETH price. Higher than the last stamp = green, feed away. Lower = red day — the kitchen is shut, and every critter whose mortgage doesn't cover the day dies on the spot.
Death is permanent. The grave stays on display until anyone — anyone at all — burns it.
Some critters mint as BANKERS (top hat, monocle, briefcase, tie — any species). Wake it with one click and it collects a share of the banker pool — the whole mint plus 70% of every mortgage payment, forever. A sleeping banker earns nothing and gets no back pay: money that flows while it sleeps belongs to the bankers who were awake. Bankers die like everyone else — and a dead banker's uncollected money becomes a bounty that only someone holding a living DEMON can claim.
A rare few mint as the GOLDEN GOBLIN — solid gold, and the only kind that owes nothing. It mints with a century of mortgage pre-paid: it cannot starve, cannot die, and the contract literally refuses rent money for it. The final census is whatever the 24-hour claim produces.
Survive a full year and the screen turns gold. An elder is a badge, not armor — it still pays, and it still dies.
